Today my mom came home from the petstore with 2 tank add ins. She got me a goldfish that looks like a red black moore, and a small tadpole. so I had to buy a high powered filter.
20 gallons.... it has 2 small black moores, a pleco which is going to a new home this week, a TINY goldfish, and the guys I told you about. I know, if they get any bigger I'll upgrade the tank. XP
theyre fine for now but pretty soon ur gonna need a much much bigger tank!at least 40 gallons and the goldfish wil eat the tadople so id move it.you need to move the fish into a bigger tanks soon, they will be stunted is you leave it much lonfer
What kind of tadpole is it? Keep in mind that thigns like african clawed frogs are often sold as suitable tankmates for fish when they realy aren't. It would be safer for everyone to mvoe the tadpole to a seperate tank.
Its got to be a bullfrog or green frog of some sort, nothing else stays a tadpole long enought to be worth it in the aquarium, just dont let it go when it becomes a frog.
well, whatever you do, make sure you tell your mom "No more surprises!" i've heard some real horror stories on here about surprise fish... the issues range from incompatibility to disease introduction from a lack of quarantine.
