Currently planted with crypts (red and green), Amazon swords and hair grass and dwarf Sag as well as an aquarium Lilly. Will update weekly on Thursdays. Also will get updated water parameters. Looking for stocking suggestions.

Well, is there any specific fish you would want to be in there to start with? So, that we can see if they're suitable for your parameters.
For yes, a lot of livebearer species (so, not all of them...) would appreciate harder water.

@emeraldking I wanted an angel fish firstly, but I'm not sure an angelfish would get along with the other fish that I want. I wanted platys, blue wag platys. And I wanted to have one centerpiece angelfish.

Angels would do generally well in soft to neutral water. But to be honest, during my upbringing my parenst always kept angels in hard water and so did I and it went always very well. And my parents combined those angels always with livebearers. And so did I. Currently I don't keep angels anymore.

So it’s possible to have an angel thrive in a harder water system….

Maybe I’ll have an angelfish and then platys to balance it out

UPDATE: 2/16/24

Didn't have time to update on Thursday due to having 2 huge exams this week.

Lots of new growth! Some sediment has settled on leaves but I'll remove that. Lots of new growth on the water lily, some on the hairgrass which is growing a lot taller than anticipated. The crypts have new growth, but the dwarf sag is not faring well. Really excited to start socking this tank. Let me know your suggestions!

I can't decide,
White angelfish + bumble bee platys
White angelfish + blue wag platys.

Yes I know angelfish prefer softer water and platys prefer harder water, but I am hoping to strike a medium balance so I can keep both.

Sorry what size is the tank? I don't keep angels myself but they need a lot of space - I think 75g is about the size an angel would need. Obviously can't tell the exact size of yours but based on the scissors and tongs in the pic I think your tank is too small for an angel.
