I just got one of these which I was planning to use with some custom software I'm working on at the moment. I had to "test" it first though so been playing with it today and think I'm going to have to get another one for the job because its so good
Basically its a 'pad' 11"x9" and you have wireless keys which you just stick to it in whatever layout you want. This means for gaming you can have it layed out so that all the keys are directly in reach of your fingers. The keys can be move at any time and will work from any where or any position on the pad. They stick down really solid as well so dont move while your using it.
You can use the keypad to record macros and assign them to any of the keys so it is also really useful for things like photoshop and video editing. There is a clear plastic tray which the keys stick to and you can place a "skin" under this with either labels on for the keys or even just a picture to make it look pretty.
Here is what it looks like. The key layout looks completely random but its an exact fit for my hand. I can just rest my hand in the middle and reach almost every key without having to strech my fingers.
Apprently this thing has been out since 2005 but I had never seen it before. Would definetly recommend it to anyone who is after a REALLY useful, customisable input device.
Wow Setup
X-box 360/FPS setup
Complete setup
I REALLY need to tidy up
