Er...some Weird Cactus Thing

So anyways, I got some live rock rubble today to start off my 8g nano and so far, I've found some weird green cactus thing stuck on the rock and some weird purple spongeblob thing. I'll try to get some pictures later but does anyone know what it is or have an idea of what it is just by the description? I didn't expect anything to be even on those rocks since they were practically stored in darkness.

Could be a Sponge, Ascidian, Macro-Algae? Really need that pic!

I can't find the digital so I'm using my camera phone. I tried adjusting the lighting and stuff on photoshop to make it more obvious but anyways, it's still crappy and the thing I'm talking about is in the square and its more green in real life.

Well id guess Macro algae. If its rigid, its not likely a sponge or ascidian, as they are normally "spongey", LMAO! But if its green, id say macro. Thats a stab in the dark really though.
