I'm busy setting up a new (secondary) 75l / 20 gallon tank. I have an Elite ProJet 100 internal filter with a spray bar as well as an Elite 802 air pump with two pipes with air stones. Do I actually need to use the air pump all all as it is rather noisy? I have 2 plecos (babies that will be swopped out went 2/3"), 2 gouramis, 6 platy and 4 scissor tails. The tank is quite well planted and I have bought some driftwood I am soaking (for how long?). (It is properly cycled and +25% water change weekly)
I am thinking of adding a few neon tetra / cardinals and know they school but am not sure how many I could get without overstocking.
Had a major problem in my main tank earlier this week and lost a few loved ones in short succession (seems to have been a parasite brought in with some new swords) so really want to get this right
