Epileptic fish again

A friend of mine has an Albino shark.

He throws a fit literally whenever the light is turned on. Flubbing and thrashing on the surface within seconds

Her other fish are all healthy.

However her plants are suffering severely from deprivation.

Any advice welcome

does the light just turn on or does it like flicker on like mine if it flickers he couldthink that something is moving rapidly at the surface.

The light does not flicker and his response is definitely invoulantary.

Wherever he is the fit is almost instant. i dont think hiding would help he is also quite big - bout 7-9cm not much place for him to hide.

Perhaps she should get him his own tank.

Yes, I would suggest that she put him in his own tank, one which is dark and comfortable for it. A nice dark place to hide is necessary for some fish, even at 7-9 cm and more.
