Hi All

Sorry if this has been asked before (I did search previous threads).

I have a approx 2mx1.5mx.75mdeep goldfish pond.

My Hozelock Titan 2000 pond pump which runs a Hozelock pressuirised bioforce UVC circular filter has died.

My experience is that its not worth reparing these pumps but to replace.

As it runs 24/7 I'm looking for an energy efficient pump due to the price of leccy. Any ideas?

I understand that the solar pumps wont give me the 2000lhr I currently get from the Titan 2000 pump.

Am considering a reliable Draper 'sump pump' as they are cheap and robust (about £40) but at 200w for 7200lhr for the base model may not be very energy efficient.

Any guidance on brands gratefully received.

regards

Klein

The Aquamax 2000 from OASE is only 32w and is going to be much more reliable than any listed above,

for this Oase every time, not cheap but cheap to run and totally bomb proof IME

Many thanks for the prompt replies.

I will check them all out.

Alternatively I may fashion a wind turbine from scrap wood and a typewriter and power it that way !.

The Oase Aquamax 2000 seems really efficient from what I have read. Now to find the best priced retailer!!!!!!

the best (most realiable and energy effiect) pumps are normally oase.

most pond pump use well over there rated wattage so watch out, a pump that claims it is alot lower wattage and is alot cheper probably will use alot more than the stated wattage.
