Went to a Killi auction today hoping to spot some Rivulus cylindraceus (which seem to be as rare as gold dust in this region) and what do I spot ............ a bag of Endlers (young fry), but the colours are obvious straight away !!!

Lovely little things, got them home and then realised that I had upward of 20 of them, what a bonus !!!

I can't put them in the community tank as I have some guppy's in there, I don't want to spoil the geno pool.

So I spent 2 hours sorting my tanks out, moving fish around and now have a tank just for Endlers, I'll have to properly sort it out with plants (which I'm expecting next week as it happens) and whooo hoo an Endler tank.

By the way I was even more lucky cause I got my Rivs as well !!

What a great day, someone up there loves me.

Congratulations!
I also recently bought 8 baby Endlers who have now grown into young adults, 6 males and only 2 females though. I put them in a tank on their own and they are really bold, friendly little fish - I'm really glad I got them.

Yep they are lovely little guys, however I didn't realise how hard it would be to separate the males from the females, and not all the fry have coloured up yet so I'll have to go through the process all over again in a few days time for at least the next week or more (some of the fry are really small) !!

I may have underestimated exactly how many of the little critters there are, and if I don't separate them now I'll have even more.

:-(

Congrats on the Endlers! They are lovely little fish, aren't they?

Good luck with the seperating! I know what a bear that can be....
