I have some tiger endler and i have two that are pregnant. Can i put them in a breeding net for a better survival rate of the fry or will the net stress them out too much? thanks
I totally agree with Alasse; Endlers (and guppies) aren't big fry eaters.
Best thing you can do to ensure plenty of fry survive is to make sure your tank is really well planted, so the fry have plenty of hiding places. Fine leaved plants, like elodea, hornwort or cabomba, are best for this
I have some endlers too and they don't seem to eat their fry. The young fry are happily swimming around with the adults.
Does anyone know how many fry a female endler can give birth to at a time? I'm guessing it's less than a molly and platy but would like to know a rough number and frequency.
I believe it's anything from 5 to 25 fry (depending on the age and size of the female) and about a month between broods. Mine are reproducing like they've just invented it!
