hi all,
i am really in need of help here! about 3 weeks ago i rescued a single endler from the LPS. as i was floating his bag i noticed a strange off-white, round protrusion from his tail. i thought is was ich, but it is muuch bigger and rounder than an ich spot. i have kept him isolated and have added salt to his water, tried salt baths daily, anti fungal meds, melafix and anti-ich. he still has this large round pellet stuck to the side of his tail fin. as i was giving his salt bath today, i also found that he has sonething on the side of his lip. its not fuzzy at all. i would try to get a picture, but i can't get him to stay still long enough for me to even tell if it's just his mouth shape or the same kind of tumor-looking thing as he has on his tail.

any suggestions for what i can do now? he seems so lonely...
thanks!!

Have you tried some stronger antibiotics? It may just be a tumor you know - there's nothing you can do if that's the case.

i was trying to decide if i should try some antibiotic food or tablets...any recommendations?

I actualy looked around a bit and it also looks like it could have Lymphocystis or what's known as 'cauliflower disease'. Apparently there is no proven cure but a product called 'Acriflavin' claims to work. Try it I suppose - you have nothing to lose.
As for good antibiotics - Maracyn I and II, Aquatronics Kanacyn, Binox, Anything realy is worth a try.
Obviously good water quality is a must!
Good luck!
