Emergency Clowns Dying!

I haded some zoas to my tank and 2 purpel mushrooms. the mushrooms have given of loads of long threads and have disintergrates. The clowns were acting like a PH crash, out of breath etc
there now in fresh water

What could be wrong. can mushrooms give off a toxic chemical when they die??

The clowns seem like they have there breath back now there in fresh RO salt water.

What could be wrong with my tank water

What are the parameters in the tank? It might be that the heater is on too high and causing them to not have any oxygen. Also a FW dip will stress out your fish like crazy so I wouldn't reccomended again.

ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
phosphate
calcium
alkalinity

dying mushrooms means something is WRONG with the tank. Usually it takes hyper or hypo salinity, a drastic temp or pH crash to really tick off mushrooms. Has your hydrometer or refractometer been checked against your LFS's?

The mushrooms were posted to me and took over 24 hours in frezzin cold water so i think they were dead when i got them.

I posted this question in the nano section aswell and i've had some replies there. I'm going to test all my parameters tomoro and i'll post them. My fish also have white spot. I've got waterlife myxain to try treat it. Is this ok with inverts?
