Emerald Green Catfish

I really want some Emerald Cats, and I was wondering how many I should get. Do they like large groups like Corydoras, r could I get away with like, 5?

I started with six Emerald Brochis (Brochis splendens), but they looked so much better as a group of twelve, scooting across the tank together. Might have been unrelated, but the original six developed a more vibrant metallic green when I added the extra ones.
