Got an emerald cory yesterday the guy at my lfs let me have it for £3 instead of £3.95 as it was only small. Does anybody now the scientific name for this type of cory. Thank

Hi Lil,

A fish often named as an emerald cory is the Brochis Splendens, this is not an actual cory but is a similar species and grows a bit bigger around 4 inches. Other than this they have the same needs as corys, groups of 3 plus, the same feeding habits etc.

If this is not the right fish it could always be the bronze cory which looks a bit similar. Try doing a search on google and see what your fish resembles most.

Hope this helps

Emma

They've got some at the LFS by me. I think they're $4 each.
