Does anyone have any idea how fast the elephantnoses grow? I so far know no one that has these so im unsure of any response.

I did have one but he died (diseese Out break) :( . He didn't actually grow that much from when i bought him to when he died so i am uessing they grow pretty slow. If you are planning on getting one they are hard to feed to begin with coz they only eat live bloodworm when you first get them but it is possibly to get them onto frozen.

I cant help with your question, but I got an elephant nose a month ago. He is doing great, fast becoming my favorite. He comes out during the day pretty often, more than my other nocturnal fishes. He looks really cool. If your tank is big enough and you can feed and take care of him properly, I say go for it! Wolfefish

I've had one for some time now - he eats frozen foods only, bloodworm, daphnia, tubifex, mostquito larva - but won't eat flakes. He's growing slowly and I believe they reach about 8-10" in the right conditions. The quality of the water has to be good all the time with them and that's the reason that a lot of them die before their time. If you want to keep yours happy, he needs weekly water changes and good food.
