Elephant fish

Hi,

a couple of days ago, I brought an elephant fish.

today its dead. It never came out behind the rocks until this morning when i saw it swimming. It was swimming as if nothing was wrong.

This afternoon I noticed the other fish pecking at it so i put it in the breeding net. 10mins later it was dead.

Not sure what happened. All other fish are fine.

Once I fished it out, I did a 50% water change and the other fish are still fine.

My water readings are...

Nitrite = 0.2
PH General = 7
Nitrate = 0
Ammonia 0.1

Anyone had any problems with the elephant fish?. I tried doing a search on this site but nothing came up

seems your tank isn't done cycling or you had a sudden spike.

I don't know much about elephant fish but if they are a sensitive sepcies, the ammonia and nitrites reading might explain his sudden death
