Electric yellow cichlids

They dont get to big so even if you have a 50g tank you could put 5 or 6 in it and still have room for other fish. As for tank mates well there HEAPS and i mean heaps, just type african cichlids in google and you will see lol, but just about any other african can go along with them besides ones that hit over 8" or so, and keep away from a Auratus, they get to about the same size but are very agressive.

the guy at the lfs keeps a mixture of about 6 in a small 10g approx tank, if I was to get 4, I know that one is an electric yellow, the rest are kribs i think, how big would the tank have to be, just for say about 4

no take the advice above....about a 50 gallon tank will be needed to house 5 or 6 electric yellows and 5 or 6 of another species...

in a 10 gallon...theres no way of doing it because u want 1 male to 3 females to spread the agression amongst the species....so that would be 4 fish when fully grown to about 5 inches apiece....20 inches of fish in a 10 gallon....and agressive fish at that

with mbuna...the bigger the tank, the better, as for any species really

You will need 30 gallons for about six they can only go with other african mbuna preferably species with similar temperament, or synodontis, or plecos
A ten gallon is unsuitable for a full grown pair, and it is best to keep mbuna in groups of four

Ok I am really new to keeping fish and was wondering if you can keep electric yellows with tetras....I love both fish they are so pretty ....
