Ehiem 2213 Help

my ehiem filter doesn`t seem to be working as powerful as normal, i`ve cleaned most parts but it`s still running very slow, any idea`s? i have floss then ceramics then mesh sponge with aother layer of floss on bottom, could it be too overloaded.

have you popped the impeller out? if not pull it out and clean that carbon thing that it's attached too. I think that it's held in by a magnet

yes icleaned right down to magnet, i wasn`t sure about taking screws out and going any further.

was the filter running normal prior to cleaning...I found I had to fill the filter right to the TOP so when I attached the lid it overflows because there needs to be as little air in the cannister as possible and I found if I didn't make sure of this the filter either ran slow with little water or made alot of noise.

no it wasn`t , i think it might have sucked up some sand, could this damage it?
