You're asking way too much for a second hand tank. Just look at what similar stuff is selling for on eBay.

Very true. When selling a tank, you can't look at what they sell for and work out based upon that - you have to look at the competition.

I'd be surprised if you get £225 to be honest.

im only going on what my local shop advised me to advertise for................also perhaps you found it hard to read the part which said ono!

Try halving your asking price and sell the filter separately - that would be more realistic.

Perhaps people who buy and sell aquariums and equipment second hand (such as Smegforbrains and I) would be better placed to give you advice than your LFS - who sell new equipment only. And putting a high price instantly puts people out - they'll negotiate within reason, but someone asking too high a price is unlikely to come down to a reasonable buyers expectations. Putting 'ono' on the end doesn't change that.

But if you intend to give us stick for trying to help you out, suit yourself.
