Eheim Numbers

With the Fluval externals the first number is the limit in 100's of liters and the last is the model number eg 205 is for 200l tank and is the newest one the market 5 4 and 3 being the older ones.

However the Eheim range number somewhat confuse me. Is is because there German I dunno, but could someone explain it to me plaese???
