I have a 72 gallon tank with a fluval 304 and an emperor angel.If i put on the Ehiem 2227 wet/dry filter on it will it re-cycle the tank.thank you

I put a 2224 on my 55 gal a month ago, along with the old generic hob. It did a sort of mini cycle about 10 days later, slight ammo & slight nitrites for a few days, has been fine ever since.

IF you add the filter to the existing one then it will not recycle at all. If you replace the existing one it will.
