I Just ordered an Eheim Thermal 2324, Does it come with all the nessary hoses (intake, spray bar etc?)

If you've ordered it new, then yes. If you've ordered an "OEM" or some "unbelievable offer" then it may well not.

I doubt it - that's how much they cost empty!

Most quality filters are not sold with media because the manufacturer does not know what type of tank you are going to use the filter on. What media works well in one regime would not in others.

To supply with media would require sending all possible media types, which would be prohibitively expensive.

Or, send a compromise media which may work to a certain extent but is never going to be ideal for anyone.

Or send no media and let the aquarist decide what he/she wants.

That said, Eheim did, for a while at least, include a few odds and sods media wise - I think they were either promotions, or samples though. I have a box with some of the unused stuff lying around somewhere.

I know it doesnt come with media, I have ordered that as well. But I have'nt ordered any pipes, spray bar etc because I would of thought it would come with that.

As stated above, it should come with spray bar, hoses and so forth.

When I bought each of my Eheims (2013 and Pro II 2028) both came with all the hoses and taps, but the media was separate. You may find that the coarse and fine filter pads are supplied (they were with my 2028, but not the 2013) but the Ehfimech and Ehfisubstrat are separate.

I found these guys to be competitive, I was pleased with their service too.
