Eheim Ecco Making Noise....

Have a 2234 Ecco that is making a swoshing type noise at irregular intervals.

Have tried re-priming it several times, and gently shaking it but nothing seems to be working.

It has been running for about 3 weeks with no problems till this started yesterday....

Any ideas what could be causing and how i can stop it?

Ill wager there is air in there ! Just about to install one myself, so am eager to hear the solution...

definatly sounds like trapped air

the way i get rid of mine (normerly after a clean out)
place filter in bucket (to catch water)
pull cannister handle down (water comes out)
lift handle back up [ie re-prime]
dry cannister with towel.

I have tried repriming it several times...although i turn it off while i did it.....should i have done whilst it was running?

I have checked the seals, and checked all the connections for tightness, without success!
