Eheim Classic Rattley

Hey

I have had the classic for well over 6 months. Over the last few weeks I have noticed it getting noisy.

It sounds like a rattling sound. I opened it up earlier and the impeller wasn't clogged it. It sounds similar to the noise a timer makers (not a digital one).

Any suggestions?

Could it be trapped air?

If you think it is trapped air then give the canister a little side to side shake and the air should dislodge up the pipes.

Out of interest I am considering the Classic 2213 to use on a smaller tank instead of an internal, can you tell me what model you have and how you have found it generally?
