Hi,

I have an Eheim 2228 filter, and i dont know how to adjust the flow rates. Im getting to much flow back into the tank. Is there any way that the flow out of the filter can be regulated? ( to reduce it )?

Here's a quote from page 12 of the Eheim Pro 2228 operation manual:

"Note: The water flow from the pump can be controlled by
using the tap only on the pressure side (OUT).
ATTENTION: Never reduce the pump output by closing
the tap on the suction side (IN)."

These are the little on/off levers on each side of the double-tap connecter that your hoses are attached to. Its better not to adjust them down very much from full-on but you can a little. Usually a better alternative is to detach your spraybar and rotate it so that the output holes are pointing back at the tank side glass, causing the water flow to have to "bounce" off the wall before it shoots around the tank.
