Eheim 2224 Weak Flow

Hi i have just set up this filter and notice the flow was a bit weak so i measured it and the best i could get was 300l/h (it is rated at up to 700l/h) this was without the spray bar on so i can only imagine it will be less with it on! is this a normal flow rate?

Sure you have no air trapped. It should pump excellent when new.

Besides the trapped air, make sure there are no kinks in any of the lines, and cut them as short as possible for your setup.

this flow rate is as good as it gets even with no media in the container, no twists and no air in pump the shop i bought it from says this rate seems acceptable so i have sent an email to ehiem customer support
