Eheim 2222 Professional External Aquarium Filter

Has anyone got one of these filters.I have heard they are good but not sure what the water quality filtration is ilke.Can anyone help please?

I have a 2232 and it's so far impressed me quite a bit. Dead quiet and powerful enough to give a decent current but not so powerful it blows fish and sand around. It's only been a week but already it has shown it's worth and flexibility. I've got it with some shelldwellers that have destroyed indirectly four previous filters and/or powerheads and this one hasn't so much as coughed.

I've had one running for years, I show it no mercy on an overstocked pairing tank. It's an excellent bio filter, as all Eheim canisters are, but it lacks a little in mechanical filtration for what I'm using it for. I'm sure on an average stocked tank this wouldn't be a problem.
