Eheim 2217 Classic Rattle...

I have a 2215 classic which has a series of sponges and wool and works fine. Nice and quite.
my 2217 irritates me. It rattles, i am sure it's the section where obviously the noodles are. They are packed in so not loose.

Why noodles on the 2217 and not on the 2215.

Why noodles at all?

Taking out the noodles and filling more wool should do the trick shouldn't it?

That rattle drives me nuts!

You can replace the noodles with sponge or anything else. Most of the bigger filters come with noodles but I leave them in the box and just use sponges. Sponges trap dirt and hold bacteria. Noodles only hold bacteria.
