Hi, all.

It's been a looong time since I've been here. I haven't done much with the fish lately, as I"ve been rather busy with work and school. I do still have my 29-gallon set up though and it has a few Kuhli loaches residing in it.

Anyway, I'm having a few issues with my Eheim 2213. It's gotten noisier the last few months and it's always been super quiet. I've also noticed that it's getting air in it. I can tip the filter and run the air out, then a few minutes later do the same thing. Perhaps my O-ring needs to be replaced? Tonight I glanced at the filter and noticed it had lime scale buildup down the sides of it, so it's apparently been slowly leaking some water.

I've had this filter for, oh, at least three years (bought it used) and the only thing I've done with it is clean it a few times. Is there some other maintenance I need to do? Is there a part that's probably worn out that I need to replace? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Sounds like a typical Eheim O ring problem. Before replacing them clean them up a little and give them a good coat of petroleum jelly. Seals & O rings need this.
