Hi guys, now that I've added fish to my tank (after a long fishless cycle) and waste is being produced I've noticed that the two inlets appear to have little in the way of suction. I've got one in each rear corner and basically detrius floating in the water just centimetres from either of the inlets will normally just pass by rather than being sucked in. I thought the suction effect would/should be greater. I believe the filter must be working correctly as the outlet (placed centrally on the back wall) is as strong as ever and turning on/off and re-priming makes no difference (i.e. there are no obvious air locks). Also, the flow meter is still indicating maximum flow, which would make sense as it's only had to deal with a fishless cycle up until recently.

By the way I noticed what I described above even more after adding two circulation pumps (one either side of the outlet on the back wall), which disturbed a whole load of poo that had settled on the sand and around the rocks. I was hoping adding these would prevent the muck from settling as readily and result in most of it getting sucked into the filter. They are certainly doing the former, but the latter isn't really happening!

How do other 2080 owners find the suction from the inlets? Any point giving it its first clean out, despite the flow indicator suggesting it's still at max?
