Eheim 2028 Setup

In the out hole on the filter it has a red plug with a spring & a piece of circular plastic, Im guessing you have to take this out since the plug is blocking the outlet, but I thought maybe its part of the ball display that signals blockages?? Do I leave it in or take it out

Why does it totally block the hole?

the little red plug thing that that spring sits in I mean, it does not obstruct water flow?

nope, it's part of the design and i don't have any complaint with the filter, and neither do another few million that have it!
