Where should the red float indicating the flow come? there are 4 green marks below the outlet pipe and the base of the red float is level with the third green mark (from the bottom up)
I have only had this filter running several hours, is this any good?

I removed that little floating ball years ago, it improves the flow. I always considered the output from the spray bar as the best flow indicator, that probably comes from running the Eheim classics.

Does removing the red ball effect the auto valve release thing.. does it still seal when you pull the pipe assembly away from the filter unit?

Also, how do you go about taking the ball out?
