eheim 2026 or 2028?

Wondering if you guys can help.
I currently have a 65 gallon african cichlid tank. At the moment it is is not overstocked and the fish are fairly young.
What i need to know is. Would i be better off going for the 2026 that has a 950 lph flow rate or the 2028 with 1050lph flow. I know the more the better and the 2028 has more filter media. But im worried about haveing too much flow in the tank. Or would this not be a problem?

africans like the faster flow. mine swim in the powerheads. what is the gph of the filter?

That makes life easier then. well the 2026 is 251 gph and the 2028 is 277 gph. Thats pump output. probably get the larger one then. more for the filter capacity.

either would be fine. both would be more than enough filtration.

Thanks a lot. The tank will probably end up overstocked by the time im done so the 2028 seems a good idea to me.

Take 2028. They are almost identical, but 2028 has more room for media. And current isn't so much and if you think, it is, turn outlet pipe against side glass B)

It depends on where you are buying it. Usually they are sold without media and you need to buy media yourself. But e.g. Aquaristikshop.de sells it with media too.
