Looking great andy!!!! All of your tanks are awesome. What would you consider the smallest size tank for a very small frogfish. Are they reef safe too?

while frogs can be kept in small systems, larger is better. People have spawned Antennarius dorehensis in 7 gallon tanks, but you want to look at 20 gallons and above.

Reef safe depends. You don't want any more flow than 10x on a frogfish to help them out. Strong stinging Cnidarians seem to cause woes too. Finally, expect any ornamental shrimp or other fish to be eaten. Other than the above, they are fine in a reef...

Wow, nice scallop!

What camera you usin to take these shots Andy?

I wanted to have a 12 gallon nanocube for a frag tank. I wanted something different too. Thanks for the info andy.

There does indeed seem to be some sort of bi-valve living on the shell of the largest snail in the system. It opnes and closes, so seems to be living.

Camera for most of the shots is a Nikon D80. The 3 better pics of the frog are from my Fuji F31fd.

Sweet, how long has that been living in your tank? I've only once before seen one alive in captivity.

Has been going for a while. I'd estimate a good 2 months, but I can't really remember when we bought that snail. Was definitely last year though.

I have some pics somewhere that show it does close and the re-open. I have another couple of bi-valves in the frogfish tank that opena nd close and seem to not be dead yet.

Agreed very much so. Just wanted to add as andy has stated they do awful (at least IME) in any kind of moderate-strong flow. I had to reduce both filter flows on my tank until mine settled in.

And I agree with you also about the reef safe andy. My hermits and snails seem to be left alone as well as most corals. I cant say anything about tankmates as mine is in a 20 and is the only fish in the tank, which is just fine.

Sweet pics andy :good:
