I was taking a piece of wood out one of my tanks when I noticed some tiny egg looking things on the side of it. They have a sort of jelly outer casing around them
They seem far too small for fish eggs. Would they be pest snail eggs?

Ok. What are they like?
Only snails I have in my tank are little ones that came on plants from lfs and I have a single zebra nerite

Just thinking. I did actually get the wood a week ago from a friend so anything could be on it really.

I can say with some confidenece that its likely to be snail eggs, have a look at my picture, its the inverted c shaped cluster in middle of pic, that is 100% snail eggs and your look just like that, slightly different shape is all.

Pond snails, I don't mind them at all and they are a natural addition to the tank and do assist with algae on plants an grass.

Harmelss to plants and livestocks generally.

Some folks don't like them and consider them pests and get rid of them with various methods.
