ok so my albino cory dropped her eggs about 3-4 days ago i put them in another tank so they wouldnt get eaten, they dont seem to be doing to good, why would this of happened, its her first batch of eggs, im not sure if there is a male in there, will they drop eggs without a male? im new to this cory spawning and havent a clue any help or advice would be greatful thanks

They can spawn w/o a male. The female is larger and broader than the male; it is especially noticable when you look down from above. But is you have a group of Corys it is unlikely that all are female.

If they are young and this is their first spawn, the spawns are not always successful at first.

Are the eggs fungusing or just slow to hatch? Try to remove eggs that fungus or move the good eggs. Often the eggs that fungus are the ones that are not viable, but sometimes there are water conditions that cause it.

I have heard that very hard water is more conducive to fungus. As NEONCORY said, place an air stone under the eggs so that there is lots of water movement. If you are successful in hatching and raising even one fry, you have succeeded! :good:

Have something ready to feed the fry when they hatch and wait 2 or 3 days after they hatch to feed them--when you can see them free swimming.
