I went to feed my fish this morning and noticed a cluch of eggs stuck to the glass of my 55 gallon tank. Tank inhabitants are 3 Black Skirt Tetras, 5 Albino Tiger Barbs, 4 Tiger Barbs, 4 Corys, and 2 pleco's. Forgot to add 1 chinese alge eater.

My guess is the Corys, but I have no idea what to do with them. THey were stuck to the glass, and I scraped the off very gently and put them in a glass jar. Do they need air? What do i feed them if they survive? Any help at all please.
Sandy

next time leave them in the tank just incase. yes the will need air. they will eat algea when theer first born, or small particules od left overs. baby fish a highly senseitive so be careful. my goldfish have had 15 babys. if other fish r territoryl do not get babys near them. but u r very lucky they had babys, sometime the ones that grow up in ur tank will be ur favorite.

I'm 90% sure its the cories all right mine did the same thing :D however because you scraped them off you probably killed them :( your cory should keep putting them on the glass. Your best bet is to put some plants near the eggs. This allwos the fry to at least hatch. I did this near my eggs and I had in total 8 healthy cory fry.

Thank you for the replys, they are cory eggs. I was very careful while removing them from the side of the tank, and kept them under water while transfering them to another tank. They are now in a 1 gallon with an air stone, and have not developed any fungus or anything as of yet. It has been 2 days today. There was no way that I could leave them in the tank because of the barbs and skirt tetras that are in there. They would have been lunch as soon as they were seen. I will keep you all posted if anything happens. Sandy

Ok sounds cool...you can see the corys developing through a magnifying glass I'm watching mine :D
