Fish Crazy
Ok so my partner wanted malawi's i personally have no care for them, i like my fish to feed from my hand not on it.
We had a 6 inch male BN in the tank and a few days ago i went on a mad spree purchasing phantoms, various BNs and other fabulous plecs.
One of which was a 4.5 inch female BN who cost me an arm and a leg.
I had a visitor a few weeks ago that said my male was more likely a honeycomb or green strain as opposed to a 'normal' BN.
The female was definatly normal.
I literally stuck her in the tank with the male, just becaus she was larger than the others and the tanks 3 foot so would house her nicely for a few weeks with no intentions of breeding and when the time came (i though she was too young for babies) i would move them both out into a breeding tank....
Today during waterchanges my fellah shouts me from the other room in a panic because he couldn't find the male, we have large ocean rocks with various holes for malawi hiding and the male likes it in there...then with a little light on the underneath something bright orange/amber started showing.
We have eggs!
Now the problem is there still in with the malawi's and i have a feeling the little sods will start eating them so if i move the rock, eggs and dad into an empty tank will all be ok? or will the move somehow damage them?
I have no clue how long theyve been in there as there last waterchange was on friday and i didn't look closely at the rock, i've tried looking for peeping eyes but there too far in the rock to get a good luck.
