I have edited the title to note how poor the photo was. I guess I am not as recovered as I hoped.
Here goes .... This is a white gelatinous ball with a dark spot in the center. There are several on the live plants. We are transitioning the tanks to live plants but there are still silk and vinyl in the tank. The pretend plants have none of this. The wood and substrate have none.
There are currently eight Neon and a BN Pleco in this tank. Four days ago, it also had 6 guppies and a single Molly that has failed to grow much in six months. At the time the mates were removed these white balls with a dark center were not there.
I looked on line and these appear to my inexperienced eye to be Neon eggs.
If they are eggs, they're well dead. Neon eggs are light sensitive.
Whether they could have been good depends on whether you have very soft water. Fish will sometimes dump eggs and not have them get fertilized. But it is probably food.
