Well annoyed with my metae's - just when they laid their biggest haul of eggs- 10 - yep 10   ,they've only been laying a few at a time since they started,i spotted the eggs 6am this morning, only to find it was just empty shells, the so in so's had munched them!!!

Me not destined to rear metae's at this rate.... :grr:

 :D

I thought only my corries lay a few eggs at a time just to annoy me.

Sorry for putting this in your thread, but noticed you have quite an experience with corydoras. I was wondering if you have any experience with the peru green stripe corydoras? I am thinking to get a few, but only if they get along with albino aeneus cories?

You defiantly have to be quick around cory's and their eggs. I have learnt when I see them rescue them straight away because if I come back later the little blighters have already eaten them. Even the eggs that they have been laying in a jungle of java moss isn't safe from the largest girls who just bulldoze their way through.

Best of luck next time.

Thanks :)

Well i've had words them not to touch them next time  ...doubt whether they were listening....

snazy - i haven't had green stripe although on my want list! - but most corys get on with each other so i wouldn't worry about putting them together. :good:

Lucky you. Mine are immigrants from South America and don't happen to speak English
Thanks for the info :good:

I had nothing until i put 3 adult females in with the 7 late-juveniles, then got two eggs, which were like yours, promptly eaten.

Had 4 a week later, and now have 2 loose fry in the the tank somewhere. First Cory babies :)

I was told by a bloke in a fish shop when buying the above three that moss was the best thing to stop them getting at their own eggs. How wrong is he! My two fry hatched from eggs that had fallen into dwarf grass....
