I can't quite tell, but it looks like a species of swamp eel. What did you buy it as? If it is a swamp eel, you could soon have a 3 foot predatory monster on your hands. There is a pinned topic, A guide to oddballs by CFC. He has a section on swamp eels, try reading that.

Do a google search for swamp eel and see if there are any that look like yours.

Possibly a small moray... It's def not any spiny eel b/c it would be much fatter at that length.

It's hard to say from that clip but it looks quite small to be one of the regular eels, it's head looks strange as ell, Will help if you can get a photo of it.

I did think it looked like a Pangio (cousin of the Kuhli Loach) perhaps Pangio doriae

From the way it moves and it's finage it looks like a Gynothorax Tile aka "Freshwater" Moray eel or gold spot moray.

In which case it needs brackish water to survive.
