Eel pic for Innes

Here he is...the pic is a little blurry but he's so brown and the same color as the substrate so it's hard to get a good shot of him

about 4-5" long and hasn't grown a bit in the 8 months 've had it. Only eats ghost shrimp or brineand refuses anything else. I tried to give him guppy fry once and he just looked at them like " awwww aren't you cute"

hmm reminds me of a spiney Eel, You little buddy is probly in the same Genus

I'm sorry I cant seem to find any more pics online, ummm I guess there are some, I also have not ever owned this species, but generally I would reccomeny bloodworms and prawns fro spiney eels B)

I have a horror story about the one time I tried to feed him prawn. The prawn were too tough for him so they ended up taking over the tank and growing huge, they started attacking my fish so...well...they became lunch to some bigger fish

He DOES love ghost shrimp though and of course...brine. I feed frozen bloodworms to that tank all the time but he's never touched one , he may eat live bw's but I've never had any so I couldn't say. You should see the drama if he accidently eats a dead brine shrimp though,heaven forbid a few dead one's slip through and he eats it....he'll thrash his body around as if he just swallowed poison

And you'll just have to keep wantin' him ... him's my baby (yup I baby talk to my fish )
