What type of eel is this?
SNV30698-2.jpg

A variation of a tyre track eel, mastacembalus armatus.

What size is it? (this rules out a few species to start with).
I aggree it has some of the same markings of armatus (like the X type markings along its flanks and its colours) but some other things look differant...Tyre Tracks are common too so its like to be one of those. Do you have a 180g ready?

not my eel, its from somebody looking to swap fish. I agree most likely somesort of tyre track eel but the markings don't look like the common ones to me

oh and it's currently about 3-4 inches head to tail

i've never seen one like that before, definately not peacock or fire, zebra? i'd still go with it being a variation of the tire track
