Eel Id Please!

hello my tank has cicled and i got an eeel a few days ago he seens to be doing fine ad the tank is good as well but i can't seem to find what he is the lfs sold him as a stiped spiny eel??? just wondered if anyone could help me out heres a pic: he looks so sweet

Eels arnt really good starter fish. At all. Is this your first tank? What are you feeding him on?
He is a Half banded spiny eel, there is a species profile on them on this forum which will tell you how to care for him.

also known as a zig zag spiney eel.

tend to feed on frozen bloodworm, which can be a bit much for a newly cycled filter, so go easy on the feeding.

hes on frozen blood worms and brine shrimp at the momont he was pretty shy so start off with but he swims around a bit now
