i looked at velvet this morning and it looked like he was pineconing!

i cant get one right now his scales look like they are trying to stick up... and he has a weird fungus on him (kinda stringy) im not really helping him... im hurting him right ?! god im a bad mom!!

I may be off, but I think the pineconing thing is caused by dropsy. I'm not sure what can be done about it, but there should be some posts on here. Just do a search for dropsy and you should find them.

if it is dropsy theres nothing you can do...im sorry . i have lost two fish this way .

You can treat dropsy - you will have to do it RIGHT away though, to have any chance, and most times when it gets to the pineconing stage it is too late.

A couple of things that can be successful are maracyn two and colloidal silver. There are success stories that have been posted on this forum. If you might be able to get some maracyn 2 you might have a chance, and if you can get your hands on some colloidal you'd have an even better chance.
