I have a cory with dropsy. I have been treeting her with Maracyn-Two for a few days now. She seems to be doing better. Her bloat has been getting smaller and her scales have gone back down, but I only have a few days left of giving her the med. I'm afrade It won't get rid of the dropsy completely. Someone suggesed I give her ebsomsalt baths. Does anyone know how to do that?

Epsom salts are recommended as a treatment to try for fish with dropsy along with anti-bacterial medication. NEVER use plain aquarium salt (sodium chloride) because this will most often be fatal to the fish in a very short time. Dropsy is a disease where the kidneys are not functioning correctly and are not excreting salts properly. Adding more salt just makes things worse. Epsom salts work differently than regular salt and can sometimes reduce the bloating. See this article:

A dip in an epsom salts bath at 70g/L is suggested on this site:

Good luck to you and your fish.
