I have an Ebo-Jager 125W heater for my 37 gallon tank. The thing is awesome. The temperature never budges. I have it set right around 79 and it never deviates.

Does anyone else have one, and do you love it?

I don't submerge mine, i keep it s the dial is just out of the water. I like to be able to make quick adjustments, in case i ever need to.

I just got one, 150w but i need another for my 55 gal. It is just a backup to my 250w acura which i don't fully trust. I like the look and have only heard good things about them.

Ebo Jagers are awesome. I have been using them for years and years. Very reliable and durable, have never had to replace one yet. I can honestly say, I will never buy another brand again. Just my opinion though. :)

i may be one of the few that aren't very happy w/ebo heaters,i bought 3 about 5 months ago(2 for me 1 for a friend)the one i got for my friend is 200w and he has it set to 87 degs just to keep the tank at 80(72g bowfront)
the 1 for myself had the little light lit up but wasn't heating my tank AT ALL!!i grabbed it w/my hands :grr: wasn't even warm :grr:

I use one in my 40G, it's a 150W and it's been working fine for the last two years or so... I do have to set it a couple of degrees higher on the dial to reach the desired temp though... no big deal in my book as long as the fishies stay warm!

yup, i use a 50W one in my 5 gallon. it works really well in the winter, but in the summer i need to turn it off, because the temperature flucuates too much because of the heat in the daytime

The heater is to small. I need at least 250watt on my 55 gal to keep it steady when its set at 80, it stays 78-80. He needs a 300 or 350 watt to be safe in that tank. I bet that heater is ALWAYS on also. That will lead it to burn out faster.

impur-the reason i got it is coz it said
EBO-JAGER HEATER TS 200 WATT - FOR 60-90 GALLON TANK

and i asked my friend if the light stayed on all the time he said "nope!! that peice of beep!! just don't work"

btw-i'm with ya on the boycott tetra thing-all the work ppl have put in to make folks understand how to properly maitane and setup an aquarium has now been ruined by a 3min segment-they suck-anything for a buck and a few minutes of fame :grr:

I know they suggest its ok for the size of tank, but in my experience they are wrong. I got a 150watt which should be ok for 40-60 gal and it wouldn't hold the temp. I got another 150watt and now it NEVER fluctuates. Set at 80, stays at 80. Just a thought for ya.
