Ebay Warning

i've learned the hard way, when dealing with animals that have to have certain temperatures and stuf, always make sure that you check the feedback. never buy from anyone that has no communication in there feedback. i bought from an account named coralsplus and i recieved freezing cold water, with 3 small peices of live rock, and 2 snails. i was suposed to recieve lots of macro algea, and i got a small little piece. i was suposed to get rock rubble, not 3 chips of rock that fell to the bottom of the tank. and i was suposed to get 3 snails and i get 2 frozen dead ones.

wasn't worth the money


never buy from coralsplus and when buying marine things, make sure you have a heat pack or your area is warm!

ya i bought my eheim and uv on ebay and so far I am happy with my stuff , always read teh feedbacks and IM them b4 buying , if they dont IM u back then move on...Ebay aint a gd place for buying plants or live rocks tho

Sorry you got burned, that stinks. I'm always too wary about livestock from ebay to try it. Hardware, I love it for, but not livestock

You must be VERY CAREFUL when you order livestock on Ebay:
-photos are frequently retouched
-you have no control on the water quality/risk of hitchhikers
-poor shipping materials
-no guarantees and loss of money

If it were me, I'd stick with the sites on the internet that are reliable, eg, Liveaquaria.com

sorry to here that. you can put in a complaint to ebay as item not as discribed. and if you paid by paypal i think that your insured for it. did you contact the seller?

i jut bought some frags of ebay and they looked good when they came, well packaged abd with a head pack, all in individual bags. We'll have to wait and see if there still ok because my tanks 50 miles away and i'm not goin bk to uni still sunday!

well, i'm not gonna fight with them about it. i'll be getting 30lbs of live rock from a nice website. next day delivery, so if they ship and deliver on saturdays then i will get it tomorrow. some places deliver on saturdays but i don't know if i will get it then or not.

so i'm not gonna worry about it. i'm going to give him bad feedback and i already complained to him but he doesn't communicate at all.
