Im selling my sony psp on ebay ( btw not a plug ) ;) anyway, i have recently had this message from someone whos interested. But i think theres a problem, i just don't think it sounds legit.... have a read of this, and see what you think.

"What a nice item you got out there,I am interested in your item displayed on eBay,i want to get this item for my friend's son who's is working with british high commission in Africa as a birthday gift.I would have love to bid as others but the nature of my job will not allow me to do this at this time, I will be offering you £200.00 GBP for this item. So please if you are interested in selling this item to me, kindly send me your Paypal Email ID address,so that I can send out payment immediately via My Paypal Account because it secure, fast, reliable, and scam free, As i said earlier am offering you £200.00 GBP for this item this will include both the shipping and handling cost to africa.Your urgent response will be highly appreciated.

Thank and God bless. "

Do you think its a scam?

Promptly reply that "shipment arrangements will be made as soon as cash is confirmed by my bank.... Thanks for your offer. Nice to do bussines with you".

Im no to sure about it! Id stay clear if i were you

Check their feedback and see if they have bought anything else from Ebay and what their feedback is like, in fact if there is any feedback contact them and ask if there had been any problems.

Good idea! But something just doesnt sound right.

Ive just sent an email saying that "if you want to buy this item, please bid using the item bidding page, thank you". Because they wanted to pay straight away using paypal.

paypal payments can be made and then reversed if critiria is not met as in funds not available my nephew had that happen on a £800 car stereo buyer paid by paypal then collected day after then the same day or the day after a message from paypal saying that payment cant be made leaving my nephew with no stereo and no money, i would just stay well clear this sort of scam happens alot on car sales websites 2 :)

Sounds like a scam - stay well away - they never once mention psp, so looks like they send the same email to lots of people

oh suprised to see its not Nigeria they want you to send it too, if you sell anythink like mobiles, games consoles you usually get a few of these, they are not genuine, dont be fooled, just ignore them, its not like you will lose a sale if you ignore them :)
