Is it ok to use EasyLife Easy Carbo in a tank with shrimp?

To be honest I can't see why it wouldn't be, but there seems to be planty of people who wonder if its ok or not, so I thought I'd ask :)

Does anyone actually have shrimp AND dose this?

Thanks! :)

it killed ALL of mine. i have a 40L tank and dosed about 1.5 ml as it is planted. (slightly over as it is 1ml per 50L) but i dont understand how it killed them all as i have been dosing that much for weeks before hand. and its not like it built up as i dose and hour or so after the W/C.

so be careful, but it is fine really.

Thanks for both replies.

So Nick, it sounds like mabye yours once a case of "the shrimp died whilst you were dosing EasyCarbo", rather than the EasyCarbo suddenly killing them. I can't see how you could use it fine for weeks and the shrimp be ok, and then suddenly the shrimp die and it be the Carbo's fault?

i just put it down to the EC as there is nothing else that can have caused it. i have exhausted all other theories. they were definately poisoned. as they flipped out and then died and i could not save them.

Ok, seems strange though. I'll keep an eye on them then I think :)

Hi all

I dont mean to hijack this post but i have/use Hagen Plant Grow and after reading this im now wondering the same thing... this going to affect or harm any of the shrimp i have?

Many thanks

Muzzy

the hasgen stuff is totally fine but it is useless.

it is cheap for a reason and doesnt do anything. get yourself some tropica plant nutrition+. its worth it.
