I've been looking all over to find a fish that likes to school tightly, colorful, easy to breed, not too expensive and around 1-2 inches (2-4.5cm). I really liked celestial pearl danios but those guys are like $10 for an inch of fish. I'm still pretty new to fish keeping so I don't know what kinds of fish are out there but was just wondering if there was a fish like this or is it just a dream fish.

The problem with fish that are easy to breed is that lots of people do so. That means that supply exceeds demand, and therefore it is hard to rehome the fry. The other thing to remember is that shoaling fish only really do so when they feel threatened, so to a large extent, you don't want them to exhibit that behaviour, because it means they are stressed and therefore likely to encounter health issues.

There are plenty of small colourful shoaling fish. Have a look at the various tetra, barb, danio and rasbora species.
